Built from the studs up
I'm Jason, and TwoByFourGames is my studio. It's one person: I design, model and code everything here.
The name comes from a carpentry class. A 2x4 is the plainest board on the job site, and most of what you stand inside hangs off it. It also measures 1 1/2 by 3 1/2 inches, which tells you everything about naming things. I can read architectural blueprints, so I draw my game levels as real plan sets before I build them. That's why this site looks like a set of drawings.
What I build on
- Engines: Unity, Unreal Engine, Godot, Roblox Studio
- Art: Blender, with low-poly models in a PSX style
- Code: C#, C++, Lua, Python, JavaScript
What I play
Rust, Dying Light, the Fears to Fathom episodes, Escape the Backrooms, R.E.P.O., Buckshot Roulette and a long list of job simulators. Those games taught me to love bad lighting, empty hallways and a chore that goes wrong.
Work together
I take on custom assets and like teaming up on small games. Get in touch.
